From 11 to 13 March, the historic Cinema Troisi hosted the second edition of RUFA ON SCREEN 2024, a film showcase of animated films, documentaries and short films made by students and RUFA Alumni from the Cinema, Film Arts e Computer Animation and Visual Effects courses.
A precious opportunity to see on the big screen audiovisual works by a new generation of creatives who represent the future of Italian and international cinema. The aim of the festival is to give them visibility and create direct contact with the film market through discussions with professionals, production and distribution companies. Among the partners involved in the event Rai Cinema Channel, Minerva Pictures, Esen Studios, Sayonara Film, Hot Corn, Al-One, Visualogie and Ro’Skinwear.
During the course of the festival, distinguished guests spoke to tell the young filmmakers and authors in the audience about their experiences, including directors, producers, distributors, cinematographers and screenwriters of the calibre of Laura Colella, Stefano Lodovichi, Paolo Genovese, Sydney Sibilia, Fabio Mollo, Daniele Ciprì, Francesca Boselli, Andrea Ranelletti, Cristian Scardigno, Adam Selo, Simone Isola, Luca Della Grotta and Alessandro Contenta.
The three official prizes awarded consist of three distribution contracts – one for each category – for a minimum duration of one year, aimed at having the works entered in national and international festivals.
RUFA On Screen 2024 was made possible thanks to the fundamental contribution of RUFA lecturers Christian Angeli, Andres Zabala, Pietro Ciccotti and Livia Barbieri, members of the internal commission, together with Raffaele Simongini, commission chairman, Alessandro Marinelli and Andrea Costantini.
