Practices for the improvement of the soul is a Sisyphean effort, an unequal struggle against time and entropy. The artist’s tension towards balance and completeness are nullified by the action of the elements, which destroy his work. A unique action that becomes praxis, which becomes an end gesture in itself destined, hypothetically, to repeat itself indefinitely.
Preferring the language of the installation, the artist’s research explores the physical and poetic properties of matter and celebrates its aesthetic, emotional and physical potential. Time and entropy are recurring elements that push him towards the development of an artistic practice where practice is understood as praxis, as an action that has meaning in itself. The interest in the ephemeral and the immaterial moves his research towards a void full of meaning, and his works, through natural or artificial processes, towards their own annihilation.
