Japanese fashion is mainly known for its linearity and minimalism, refined aesthetics, cleanliness and accuracy in the choice of details.
For the ‘New Japanese Icons’ exhibition, the students of the three-year course in Sustainable Fashion Design designed and made garments according to their own vision, reinterpreting and personalising them with a unique and personal style, taking into account the sustainable value Reduce-Reuse-Recycle, i.e. prevent and reduce waste, reuse existing materials and give them new life, and recycle, converting waste materials into new products.
“New Japanese Icons” is an opportunity to immerse oneself in the world of Japanese fashion and discover the power of individual expression that transcends conventions.
