Camerae Obscurae presents the works of RUFA Photography students, who, during the Printing Techniques module, explored the physical principle behind photography. Inside a dark space, through a small hole made in a wall, the external reality is projected upside down onto the opposite wall—a simple yet extraordinary phenomenon, the same that occurs inside a camera.

This experience went beyond theory: by transforming rooms, bathrooms, and bedrooms into real camerae obscurae, the students built, inhabited, and photographed these spaces, experiencing firsthand the magic—or rather, the science—that makes photographic image projection possible.

The project, curated by Giorgio Di Noto, and the publication, curated by David Mozzetta, will be presented at Officine Fotografiche (Via G. Libetta 1) on Tuesday, February 25 at 6:30 PM.
