The search for a new look that stems from greater self-awareness.
This is the quest of Mauro Di Silvestre, a Roman painter who has been showing us a personal, sometimes dreamlike world through painting for about twenty years.
His painting usually finds itself in a perturbing balance that arouses fragments of memories in the viewer. A melancholic memory of phantasmic transparencies.
Di Silvestre – through an introspective approach – encourages all artists who participated in his RUFA Masterclass, addressed to all Fine Arts students, to disregard and if possible overturn one’s pictorial comfort zone through materials, colours and styles different from the usual.
A personalised attempt is made to bring to light the vital need to generate art beyond modes.
Emotional drive as a place to generate a new vision of an inner world. Painting as an urgent and authentic matrix of balance.
