Gianluca Del Gobbo, is very interested in every kind of avant-garde, costume, music, art and experimentation, is always updated on every kind of innovation in technology and communication.
In 1996 he founded and coordinated the various activities of Flyer Communication S.r.l. dealing not only with managerial and strategic tasks, but also with the development of all Flyer Flash applications. In 1999 he founded Shockart.net, which soon became one of the reference points for the Web Art and in particular for the productions made in Shockwave Flash; he held exhibitions in Rome, Valencia, San Francisco, New York. In 2001 he created FLxER, a video mixer realized in Flash, continuously presented in the best different occasions, used to mix vector graphics, audio, video, text and interactive media, in the realization of live video performances.
He has also curated several speeches at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Sannio, at the Department of Linguistic Practices and Text Analysis of the University of Bari, at the Faculty of Letters and Philosophy of the University of Tor Vergata, at the University of Perugia, at the Biennial of Young Artists of Athene (2003), at the Flash Forward in San Francisco and New York, at the Study Centre in Szentendre (Budapest), at the Sonar in Barcelona, at the ResFest in Rome, at the Biennale in Valencia, at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Barcelona, at the Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art in Bergamo, at the Gallery of Modern Art in Rome, at the Faculty of Architecture of La Sapienza. In 2004 he won the IBM Bardi Web prize with the website of the Rome International Festival; in the same year he started writing for Next Exit and other magazines on the Web.
In 2006 Achille Bonito Oliva awarded him the A.B.O. D’argento, an award for having distinguished himself in the field of Web Art, as one of the protagonists of international Contemporary Art.
