Andrea Mongia

Andrea Mongia is an Italian illustrator, born in 1989, and currently based in Rome. After graduating from the European Institute of Design, he co-founded the creative studio Studio Pilar (2011–2021) and began working as a freelance illustrator for newspaper and international magazines. In 2019, he has been included by Forbes in the “30 Under 30 – Europe – Art & Culture list” featuring the most influential creatives in Europe. Among the various recognition, in 2022 he won a Gold Medal from The Society of Illustrators of New York for the project “AFRICA READS. Author’s interpretations from the continent” for Doctors with Africa CUAMM. His work has also been recognized by American Illustration, Autori Di Immagini, Communication Arts, and the 3×3 Illustration Competition. Among his clients: AD, Airbnb, Arper, Assicurazioni Generali, Barilla, British Airways, CUAMM, Domus, Ideal Standard, Ikea, La Repubblica, Loro Piana, Louis Vuitton, Slowear, The New York Times, The New Yorker, and The Wall Street Journal.
