Born in Rome in 1970. After graduating from a classical studies secondary school, he enrolled in the Fine Arts Academy of Rome where he attended the Set design course. He started working as a set designer while still at school, in the staging of various operas (including “L’elisir d’amore”, “Le nozze di Figaro”, “La Bohème” for the Centenary celebrations of the Teatro Regio in Turin) and plays. After graduating from the Academy in 1996, he started working in television, as an assistant to Gaetano Castelli, designing sets for programs in both the state broadcaster RAI and Italy’s number one commercial TV company Mediaset, including “Beato tra le donne”, “Furore”, “Donna sotto le Stelle”, “Una volta al mese”, “Fantastico Enrico!”, “125 milioni di ca…”. He started teaching Architecture, Architectural Model Making and Lighting Systems at RUFA in 1999. Since 2009 he also teaches Set Design at RUFA. He ranked first in a public competition for a teaching position (Set Design for the Cinema) at the Rome Academy of Fine Arts. At RUFA, he has also conceived, designed and curated a number of exhibitions and events, including “Public Design: VISUALS – Progetto Biennale”, the Design Biennale “Sguardi al Femminile” (Female Glances), the IV edition of the film review “Rome Design + “, “100 Works of Art for the Right to Food”, in connection with the World Food Day and the Right to Food Forum at FAO.
