A chat with Taye Balogun
Taye Balogun is a Film Director, Activist, Educator and a Campaigner. He has worked on several film projects in Africa, Europe and North America. Directed 7 feature films and several TV commercials. Taye has consulted for the United Nations (UNDP, UNHCR, UNESCO), the African Union and several International organizations such as Oxfam International, Action Aid, Amnesty International, Crisis Action, Christian Aid, Save The Children amongst others. He has led successful campaigns and advocacy initiatives on Peace & Security, Climate change, Gender, Education, Good governance, SGBV and quality health. Some of his campaigns includes; Arms Trade Treaty (ATT), Spoilers Of Peace Awards, Action 2015, Gender Rights, Climate Justice, Right to quality education, Illicit Financial Flow, etc
Taye is an alumnus of Unleash and TEDx. His teachings on African cinema and development have earned him an invitation to Havard, Howard, and Georgetown universities. A very passionate African who believes art is the best medium of communicate change. Taye is the founder of The CARROT Co. and The NGO International film festival respectively.
