SYNOPSIS
In late 19th century London, Bernard and Olivia’s love affair comes to a head because of her obsessive jealousy of her best friend, April, whom Bernard has never met but whom Olivia is sure is in her betrothed’s fantasies. When April dies, instead of improving, the situation precipitates: jealousy towards her ghost becomes intolerable. Thirteen years later Olivia turns to a psychoanalyst with a mysterious past to seek answers to the questions that still haunt her: can one love a ghost?
