16.932 kg is the victory over Archimedes’ thrust, the result of a mathematical elaboration on the relationship between the weight of a body, its volume and the fluid in which it is immersed. A slow dressing of elements collected, chosen, linked. Emma Brunelli’s performance derives from her research on the body as a medium for rediscovering an intimacy with nature. The refusal of any rigid opposition between human and plant moves his research towards a primordial balance that goes beyond simple harmony with nature towards a mystical antispecism and the overcoming of the individual ego.
