Congratulations to RUFA Design student Ilayda Caylan, who has just won third place in the 2020 Rometti Prize. The project presented is People, developed as part of the Product design course of lecturer Floriana Cannatelli. The international contest was created with the aim of rewarding artists who offer an original contribution to the art of ceramics, addressed to students of art and design academies from all over the world.
The project
People crystallizes in an artistic artefact, container of life and nature, the dream of peace, welcome and integration that should characterize every evolved society. It is the vision of the peaceful coexistence of all specificities, in a world that welcomes diversity: ethnic, social, cultural, sexual, religious. A pair of anthropomorphic ceramic vases, with a satin, white and black finish.
