The IILA-International Italo-Latin American Organization presents an exhibition at the Rome Museum in Trastevere, from 15 September to 31 October 2021, of the projects of the winner and finalists of the XII PHOTO IILA, an award dedicated to Latin American photographers under 35 years of age, created in collaboration with the Latin American member countries of the IILA.
The exhibition is promoted by Roma Culture, Superintendence of Cultural Heritage of Rome, with the museum services of Zètema Progetto Cultura.
We are what we eat: the participants
The photographers participating in the XII edition of the prize were confronted with the theme “We are what we eat”, inspired by one of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals that are part of the United Nations Agenda 2030, namely number 2, which aims to “end hunger, achieve food security, improve nutrition and promote sustainable agriculture”. IILA, as a UN Observer, takes these issues forward in its work.

In accordance with the rules, the winner Santiago Carmona will have a one-month residency, during which he will develop a photographic project on the city of Rome.
