I am Chiara Preti, born in Verona in 2001, I am twenty years old and I live in Desenzano del Garda (Lombardy). I attended the Leonardo Art School in Brescia where I studied figurative and pictorial art, experimenting with various expressive and communicative methods. In photography I recognized the means by which I can fix, trap, what I feel and want to express in the most truthful and instantaneous way possible. I am attending the first year of Photography and Audiovisual at RUFA – Rome University of Fine Arts in order to continue to discover this attractive artistic form.
“Through photography I seek naturalness, the truthfulness of sensations and feelings. Through self-portraits and set portraits, in which the interaction between the subject and the environment is essential, I want to give back empty and full spaces where absence, restlessness, but also familiarity, warmth and welcome stand out.”
