Valentina Marchiò was born in 1993. She is a young Visual Designer, graduated in Visual and Innovation Design in 2017 at RUFA. Her passion for Graphic Design pushes her to deepen all its disciplines, showing a strong propensity for Brand Design, Typography and User Experience. In 2016, she started a collaboration with Roman visual communication agencies such as 5A Design, Intorno Design and Vertigo Design, working for several projects of national companies. She currently has the role of Graphic Designer and UI/UX Designer for Manet Mobile, a technological solutions company. She deals with many tasks such as on/offline communication of corporate brand identities and UI/UX for mobile and desktop, approaching with an analytical and people-oriented method to projects.
ParkIN. Parking space finder
The thesis involves the design of a service to help people find a free parking space in Rome. Suffering from a dire lack of adequate infrastructures yet at the same time in constant expansion, the metropolis is the third most heavily congested city with 800 cars for every 1,000 inhabitants. Speeding up daily travelling times and putting an end to the nightmare of finding a parking space is a pressing requirement for anyone living in the capital.
Starting with the system’s visual identity, the idea also proposes the basis for the creation of a macro-system for managing on-road car parking spaces in addition to other, future developments concerning traffic circulation.
