Archived the 2020 edition, one of the most complicated and surprising ever, the announcement of the Ariano International Film Festival 2021 has been published, for the city of Ariano Irpino (Av) and neighboring municipalities, from 26 July to 1 August 2021.
20 March 2021 is the last day to submit your film to this new edition of the Festival. To do so, you must enter the site Ariano International Film Festival, create a personal account and fill out the application form, with all the data regarding the project.
As for the sections that can be accessed, in addition to the two usual competitions AIFF WORLD, dedicated to feature films, short films and animations with free theme, and AIFF GREEN, dedicated to documentaries with environmental issues, the ninth edition opens the door to something absolutely inviting and contemporary. The new competition is called AIFF VIRTUAL and is dedicated to short films with a theme related to virtual relationships.
For feature films the minimum duration is 60′; for short films the maximum duration is 30′; for short films competing in AIFF VIRTUAL the maximum duration is 15′; animations and documentaries have no duration limits. Works in foreign languages (except English) must be subtitled in English or Italian. Projects made before 1 January 2019 are not eligible for selection.
Each competitive section is assigned a jury of experts, with the task of viewing and evaluating the works received. Many categories in competition, with prizes also in cash. There is no ex-aequo.
