It was published the announcement of the sixteenth edition of the “Mobile Film Festival” that for the 2021 edition intends to focus attention on the theme “Women’s Empowerment”. The objective of the project is clear and defined: to address feminism in a positive, constructive and militant way.
“The issues dealt with in the films – explains the founder of the Festival Bruno Smadja – may be specific to the country, the culture, the religion of the filmmakers and directors; they may concern the familiar, professional or intimate universe; they may denounce unacceptable situations that are still too present and propose concrete actions to improve the situation; they may be global or local and above all they will enhance the struggles of the feminist movement everywhere in the world for a search for real equality. The aim is to be creative and imaginative, using the forms that cinema offers us: humor, suspense, science fiction, documentaries, so as to involve the public and convince the jury presided over this year by Agnès Jaoui”.
The film can be shot with a cell phone or iPad: sequence plan, editing, stop motion or with added special effects. External sound recording devices are allowed. The music must be copyright free. You can choose the language without entering subtitles. This can be done free of charge after registration on DOTSUB.
The films must be received by October 20 on the website MOBILE FESTIVAL. The jury, in addition to the already mentioned Agnés Jaoui, also Chiara Corazza, David and Stéphane Foenkinos, Anastasia Mikova, Tania De Montaigne, Marine Périn, Oxmo Puccino, Justine Ryst, Florence Sandis, Aloïse Sauvage, Anne-Dominique Toussaint.
