The 2018 edition of the “Media Art Festival” will take place at MAXXI, with the presence of over 50 artists representing 10 different countries, from 17 to 19 May. The initiative, promoted by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, is aimed at exploring new forms of art, increasingly collaborative and interactive. The event will focus on the theme “Convergence: Natural and Artificial Intelligence”. With installations, robotic applications, sound art and video art, the artists will involve the public in a new vision of the world, transporting them in a fascinating experience of knowledge ready to become deeper and deeper, motivating new behaviors.
An initiative that wants to be a harbinger of questions, especially in the relationship between natural creativity and artificial intelligence, trying to understand the cultural and social urgencies of the present time.
RUFA is Cultural Partner of the event and actively takes part in it thanks to the work of the students. For months, in fact, the students of the Exhibit Design course coordinated by Professor Francesca Gollo have been working on the exhibition design project.
Part of the program is also hosted at RUFA Space, on May 18 from 10.00 to 11.00 a talk on “NATURALE E ARTIFICIALE, COSÌ TI ORGANIZZO IL FESTIVAL” moderated by Valentina Tanni, curator and art critic Art Tribune, and with: Donna Holford Lovell, artistic director NEoN Digital Arts Festival; Jaqueline Butler, director MIRIAD- Manchester Metropolitan University and Hege Tapio, artistic director I/O/Lab.
In fact, the subject matter of comparison represents a new frontier of contemporaneity that has already stimulated the students of the Rome University of Fine Arts, ready to have their say in this path just outlined.
