Enrico Secci

Enrico Secci is a leading industrial designer with over 20 years of experience, born in Cagliari, Italy. His academic education took place at Sapienza University of Rome, where he graduated with honors in Industrial Design, focusing on product and process innovation. During his university years, he participated in international competitions and collaborated with renowned design studios, thus building the foundations of a distinctive career.

His professional career began in 2000 at Lenci Design, where he worked closely with Fabio Lenci. In this role, he worked on innovative design projects for prestigious clients such as Teuco, Iguzzini and Poltrona Frau. His experience ranges from design to CAM system management to the creation of prototypes in various materials, including polystyrene and metal, marking the beginning of a journey full of challenges and successes.

From 2009 to 2011, Enrico co-founded Studio Triade with Paolo Parea and Simona Vidoni. This studio stands out for its ability to integrate industrial design and art direction, working on projects ranging from luxury furniture to retail design. Among its most notable projects is the design of a chain of luxury bathroom stores in countries of the former Soviet Union. This period is also marked by the mention of the DESIGN INDEX 2007 award by ADI Lazio for the “Wave” sanitaryware series by Modellazione Ceramica.

At the same time, Enrico co-founded Arborea Excellence, a network of companies specialized in the design and production of furnishing solutions for private and collective environments. In this role, he directs creativity and quality control, supervising the production of high-end furniture and custom-made furnishings. An important milestone for Arborea Excellence was its presentation in Beijing, China, in April 2012, during the event “Made in Italy in the World”, where the brand received significant recognition for its contribution to the promotion of Italian design in the international market. This experience prepared him to manage complex projects and maintain high standards of excellence.

During the same period, he took on the role of Art Director for the Sardegna Store, where he was responsible for promoting Sardinian culture through events and exhibitions. This experience further enriched his background, combining creativity and cultural sensitivity in the valorization of the island’s heritage.

From 2011 to 2014, Enrico worked as a freelancer in Rome, dedicating himself to the design of limited-edition furniture and interior design. This period represented an ideal laboratory to explore new ideas and techniques, consolidating his reputation for innovation and quality. The simultaneous experiences at Studio Triade, Arborea Excellence and at the Sardegna Store proved particularly formative, refining his skills and broadening his vision of design.
In 2014, Enrico moved to China to become the Director of Industrial Design Dept. at Bruce Industrial Design Ltd. in Dongguan. Here, he developed user-centered design concepts and led international teams of designers and engineers, carrying out projects of high relevance and impact.

The following year, in 2015, Enrico resumed his career as a freelancer with SECCI Concept Design. This phase marked a significant turning point. He collaborated with Chinese and Italian companies, designing household appliances and electronic devices, and incorporated sustainability principles into his creations. His ability to manage the entire design lifecycle, from ideation to production, allowed him to create products that anticipate market trends, with a strong focus on innovative solutions.

In addition to his professional career, Enrico held academic roles as a professor at Sapienza University of Rome, where he taught 3D modelling and design. He received significant recognition, including selection for the ADI Design Index and participation in international conferences.
