Talk with Alice Conconi – Partner and Senior Director of Andrew Kreps Gallery

On Friday 7 June 2024 RUFA hosted a Talk with Alice Conconi, Partner and Senior Director of Andrew Kreps Gallery in New York. The meeting, open to all RUFA students, is led by lecturer Fabrizio Pizzutos.

 
Alice Conconi is the partner and senior director of Andrew Kreps Gallery in New York.
After her studies at Universita’ degli Studi in Milan she started her career working in cultural organizations and contemporary art galleries in Italy and later moved to NYC in 2011.
Since 2018 she is part of the selection committee of Miart – Fiera internazionale d’arte moderna in Milan.

The talk guided students through the functioning of an art gallery and its operations in the complexity of the contemporary art world: artists’ representation and promotion, gallery exhibitions, institutional opportunities and art fairs.

About Andrew Kreps Gallery

Andrew Kreps Gallery is a contemporary art gallery located in the Tribeca neighborhood of New York, representing the works of more than 30 international artists and estates, including Hito Steyerl and Barbara T. Smith. Founded in 1996, the gallery was initially based in Chelsea before relocating to its current Tribeca space in September 2019. Andrew Kreps Gallery is known for its regular participation in acclaimed art fairs and projects such as Art Basel, Art Basel Art Unlimited, Art Basel Miami Beach, the Armory, Frieze, MiArt, FOG Design + Art.
