On 12 – 13 – 14 May 2023 RUFA was present with its students from GD-Comics and Illustration at the ARF – il Festival del Fumetto. RUFA’s young illustrators devoted themselves to the LIVE SKETCHING over the course of the three-day event, and were available to viewers to answer any questions and curiosity about their academic career.
ARF! is the festival for those who love, read, write, draw and breathe comics that takes place at the Mattatoio / Città dell’Altra Economia.
Three days of Stories, Signs & Drawings, a total immersion in Comics through an incredible variety of exhibitions, unmissable meetings-events, international guests, lectio magistralis with the great masters.
And again: an area Self entirely dedicated to independent publishing, an Artist Alley to meet the excellence of the international scene, Job ARF!, the successful format for meetings between publishing houses and aspiring professionals and, for the little ones, a Kids Area full of creative workshops held by leading names in children’s publishing.
Among the countless activities and experiences on offer, it was possible to see RUFA artists at work in real time, designers and graphic designers in the world of comics and illustration, capable of shaping their stroke and technique to tell stories. The students were on hand to answer questions and curiosity about their path, their technique or their academic experience at RUFA.
As part of the event, Saturday 13 May at 12:50 PM the coordinator of the GD-Comics and Illustration programme Claudio Spuri participated in the Talk “INSEGNARE A RACCONTARE USANDO IL LINGUAGGIO DEL FUMETTO, DEL CINEMA, DEL VIDEOGIOCO. NEL BENE E NEL MALE”, to talk about teaching and comics schools in Italy: how to emerge in this professional field?
