The PRAC Centre for Contemporary Art announces the new exhibition project ‘INFLUMINE – Academies in the Abbey’, involving RUFA – Rome University of Fine Arts together with two other Italian Fine Arts Academies: the Academy of Fine Arts of L’Aquila and the Academy of Fine Arts of Bari.
The vernissage is scheduled for Saturday, 13 May 2023 at 6.30 p.m. with the participation of curators Andrea Aquilanti, Graziano Menolascina and Sergio Pimpinelli, mayor of Ponzano Romano. The exhibition will take place in the indoor and outdoor halls of the ancient Abbey of Sant’Andrea in Flumine, immersed in an ancient and evocative atmosphere that allows viewers to take a real journey back in time.
“INFLUMINE – Accademie in Abbazia” is an exhibition rich in disciplines: painting, sculpture, video and video mapping, installations and performances, reflecting the contemporary art scene with an incredible wealth of themes, materials and techniques, experimented by these young artists from all over the world, who attend the three Academies.
An artistic experience rich in cultural stimuli, which gave rise to a corollary of synaesthetic phenomena with a poignant personality.
The selected students, who enthusiastically accepted to participate in the project, are: Babak Abdullayev, Bea Campbell, Lorenzo Cappella, Giorgio Cesarini Scialdone, Francesca Chiola, Elena Cilli, Marina Collard, Lorenzo Colli, Adriana Colucci, Contempostranea, Davide D’ascenzo, Giulia Di Pasquale, Michael Dirosa, Federica Griesi, Dalga Hasmetoglu, Ayla Insaniva, Gaia Liberatore, Amedeo Longo, Davide Mariani, Andrea Marinucci, Ferdinando Mazzitelli, Teresa Osti, Fabrizio Riccardi, Susanna Sfora.
