A Toast to Talent: The Best Project for the RUFA Limited Edition of UTE Beer Has Been Awarded.
An exciting contest showcased the creativity of RUFA Graphic Design students, who were challenged to design a Limited Edition label for the historic UTE beer by Jungle Juice Brewing. The winning project, created by Catalina Prita, will soon be printed on a special batch of 200 cans, thanks to a collaboration with Rotocel, a leading company in the label printing industry.
The Contest: Creativity and Innovation in Packaging
As part of the Packaging Course led by RUFA professor Malica Worms, students took on the challenge of designing not only a label but also a dedicated delivery box for the RUFA Limited Edition of UTE beer. The projects, developed individually, were presented through physical prototypes and digital mockups to an esteemed jury composed of Emanuele Grimaldi, Brand Manager and Founding Partner of Jungle Juice Brewing, Patrizio Anastasi, graphic designer and illustrator of the historic brewery, Federica Mazza, commercial manager at Rotocel, Malica Worms, art director and RUFA professor, and Valentina Toscano, Industry and Alumni Relations Manager at RUFA.
The competition concluded with the selection of the best project: Catalina Prita impressed the jury with her proposal, standing out for its originality, coherence, and visual impact.

An Immersive Experience in the World of Beer and Printing
The contest was preceded by two fundamental experiences for the students:
– An exclusive workshop with Rotocel, where they explored advanced printing techniques for packaging;
– A tour of the Jungle Juice Brewing brewery, offering an in-depth look into the world of craft beer to better understand the product and its context.
This experience allowed students to follow the entire creative process, from graphic design to material analysis and finally to the actual production of the label. It was a unique opportunity to witness innovation and tradition merging in a design project.
