Kafka and the Art of Comics: Nicolas Mahler at the Goethe-Institut

Meet the author and cartoonist Nicolas Mahler on the centenary of the great Prague writer Franz Kafka.

A hundred years after Franz Kafka’s death, his literary genius continues to captivate readers worldwide. To mark this significant anniversary, Austrian author and cartoonist Nicolas Mahler presents *A tutto Kafka*, a graphic biography that humorously and creatively recounts the life and works of the Prague writer.

During the event, Mahler will delve into lesser-known aspects of Kafka’s life, such as his unrealized project for low-cost travel guides or the imagined attempt to write a sequel to *The Metamorphosis*.
The event will be moderated by Maria Paola Scialdone and offers a unique opportunity to dive into Kafka’s world through the original perspective of one of Europe’s most acclaimed comic artists.
