International Ceramic Design Competition
Nominations are now open for the twelfth edition of the Rometti Prize, the initiative dedicated to discovering and celebrating excellence in the world of design and ceramic art through the vision of new generations of creatives.
Participation in the Rometti Prize 2024 is reserved for students at Art Academies and Design Institutes worldwide.
Each competitor will have to realise only one project, on a free theme, that succeeds in combining the work of art with the design object, according to one’s own taste and inclinations. Projects, which must reach the organisation secretariat by 24/05/2024, will be evaluated by a jury of experts who will select the best (maximum 6).
Awards
The finalists will be entitled to a one-week internship in a manufactory where they will actually realise their project.
Interns will benefit free of charge, for the duration of the internship, from accommodation (board and lodging) and local travel, as well as from any trips organised by Rometti.
Participation in the internship of selected students is compulsory. The renunciation of participation precludes the student from the right and opportunity to access the final awards.
Among all finalists, a cash prize will be awarded to the first runner-up of € 1,000.00, the second of € 600.00 and the third of € 400.00. All creations performed during the stage may go into production, even with any modifications agreed in advance with the author.
