Andrea Boncristiani, a young designer from the RUFA Graphic design degree course, is the winner of the contest to choose the logotype for the 74th Federalberghi national assembly to be held in Viareggio between 12 and 14 May.
Federalberghi for over one hundred years it has been the most representative national organisation of Italian tourism accommodation businesses, representing the needs and proposals of businesses vis-à-vis institutions and political, economic and trade union organisations. The organisation aims to enhance the economic and social interests of tourism entrepreneurs and to encourage the recognition of their social role, the affirmation of the tourism economy, and the promotion of the national tourist accommodation offer. For some years now, Federalberghi has held a contest to determine the official logo of its annual meeting, with the aim not only of making each meeting unique and different, but also of paying homage to the city hosting the event.
The logo presented by Andrea Boncristiani is intended to show, like a postcard, the unique characteristic of Viareggio’s landscape, the duality of sea and mountain. Just like the panorama, the logo presents a multi-layered structure, from the sea to the mountains, embracing the visitor, just as Federalberghi’s 74th National Assembly intends to do. The colours used are bright: from green for the mountains to cyan for the sea, concluding with the institutional pantone 294c Federalberghi.
