The short documentary film “Blue Dots” directed by RUFA graduate Lorenzo Squarcia and produced by Jumping Flea studio, was selected and screened as part of the prestigious Short Shorts International Film Festival & Asia 2023.
After participating in festivals of international calibre such as the Rome Independent Film Festival, l’European Film Festival of Lille, and the Tirana International Film Festival, the short film ‘Blue Dots’ – directed and produced by RUFA graduates – was screened at the Short Shorts International Film Festival & Asia 2023 di Tokyo, one of the largest international short film festivals in Asia since 1999, accredited by the Academy Awards®.
Synopsis
Biagio, an 86-year-old elderly man, sits every day on a bench in Washington Square Park in New York with an envelope full of letters and photographs in his hand. To all those who sit beside him, he tells the love story he had with his wife for over sixty years. In this way he keeps her alive in his memories since the day she passed away.
