Once again this year we return with the 8th edition of “Filming Italy Los Angeles 2023”, in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute of Los Angeles, which will take place from 28 February to 6 March 2023.
It will be possible to watch masterclasses throughout the duration of the festival.
The initiative also aims to encourage the emergence of talented young authors by supporting and promoting their works by screening the docufilms and shorts they have made, thus increasing their visibility.
It will be an opportunity to present and promote Italy as an ideal location and, at the same time, promote Italian excellence abroad.
The intention of Filming Italy is to foster the development of Cinema and audiovisual on an artistic, cultural and economic level. The Festival also aims to stimulate co-productions and international relations on a bilateral and multimedia level between Italy and the United States. In this next edition, the Festival, which has been back in attendance since last year, will not abandon the streaming platform, making it available once again after last year’s success in which it obtained over three hundred thousand viewers per day in the virtual room created especially for the Festival.
The Festival will provide RUFA students with a platform that will allow them to participate in Masterclasses with Italian and international actors. It will be an event under the banner of inclusion, rebirth, young people, equality of human and civil rights, emotion, the return of cinema to theatres, the environment, sport and the all-round promotion of TV Series, Films and the protagonists of the world of cinema.
What’s more, this year we will have the honour of celebrating the awarding of the Star on the Walk of Fame to Giancarlo Giannini, during one of the days of the Festival, to pay homage to his undisputed talent that is also recognised internationally!
