59ª International Exhibition of New Cinema
The Sindacato Nazionale Critici Cinematografici Italiani – Gruppo Emilia-Romagna Marche and the Mostra Internazionale del Nuovo Cinema promote the Lino Miccichè Award for Film Criticism, an initiative realised with the contribution and patronage of the General Direction for Cinema and Audiovisual of the Ministry of Culture.
The aim is to bring young people closer both to critical work in the field of cinema and to the research activities carried out, at an international level, over all these years, by the festival, they propose a COMPETITION for critics/reviewers, named after Lino Miccichè, founder of the Mostra Internazionale del Nuovo Cinema with Bruno Torri, articulated as follows:
A) Youth Section (reserved for secondary school students): a review of a maximum length of 4,000 characters (including spaces) of a film released in cinemas or on online platforms after 1 January 2022.
B) Section reserved for students of Universities, Schools of Cinema, Academies of Fine Arts, Conservatories, ISIA, registered film associations: critical essay of a maximum length of 8,000 characters (spaces included) of a film released in cinemas after 1 January 2022 or of a TV series aired after 1 January 2022.
Participants should send a short CV, indicating their name, surname, e-mail address and reference telephone number. Entries must be sent in word or pdf format to premiomicciche@gmail.com. Entries must be received by Sunday 28 May 2023. Participation is free of charge.
