The new edition of the Fine Arts Masterclass held by lecturer and designer Umberto Giovannini took place from 25 to 28 January 2023: “Sacrality/Sacred – Collaborative site-specific installation”.
During the masterclass the students of the Master of Arts programme in Fine Arts worked on the realisation of a site-specific collective project in the RUFA Space, at the Pastificio Cerere. The intent was to investigate the concept of “sacred” in the two declinations of Sacredness/Sacred (“what is sacred for me? what is sacred for the group?”), and reinterpret it through the experience of the contemporary.
After that, a process of iconographic and space investigation following a vision of psychogeography, in order to enter into the spatial dynamics. The final work will be realized through the woodcut media and through the concept of ‘multiple’.
