RUFA and Altaroma: on February 3 the screening of a documentary on fashion and sustainability.
Inclusion, environmental sustainability and corporate social responsibility. These are the issues that RUFA intends to address in the near future in support of the launch of the new course of study in sustainable fashion design. But these are also the arguments that are proposed in a documentary as part of the 2022 edition of Altaroma, from 2 to 4 February.
The project, which was presented in streaming on Thursday 3 February at 3.30 pm on the digitalrunway.altaroma platform, is entitled: “Who’s the sustainable fashion designer of the future?”
Introducing the works Guenda Cermel, coordinator of the RUFA academic diploma course in sustainable fashion design, who intended to involve four protagonists of the fashion sector in Italy: Marina Spadafora, Fair Fashion Ambassador with a consolidated experience as a designer thanks to collaborations with Prada, Ferragamo, Marni and now Aspesi; Anna Fiscale, Knight of the Order of Merit in 2021 as President of Progetto Quid, a social enterprise that won the Green Carpet Responsible Disruption Fashion Award in 2020; Giusy Cannone, CEO of the Fashion Technology Accelerator; Fabio Laudicina, digital fashion designer, creator of the Fabeeo Breen brand.
The documentary combines their reflections, experiences and criticisms on the need to cultivate an integral ecology approach to the fashion system. We talk about creativity, values, skills, practices, technology, relationships and interconnections. Elements that RUFA will merge together to generate those foundations capable of enhancing, from a training and creative point of view, the recognition of “made in Italy” nationally and internationally, in line with the objectives of the United Nations 2030 Agenda.
The project that the Academy of Fine Arts legally recognized by the Ministry of University and Research has in mind is clear and defined: to deepen the aspects related to the ethics that, in an increasingly predominant form, intertwines the fashion sector. In this exciting and innovative path, RUFA is ready to involve the new generations, institutions and companies that look to the same horizon.
