RUFA and Fondazione smART- polo per l’arte are ready to cooperate together within the Bachelor of Arts in Painting course directed by the lecturer Fabrizio Dell’Arno, with the coordination of Emiliano Coletta. Two different meetings, in talk and workshop format, with Farid Rahimi for the realisation of a project in line with the teaching programme launched by the Academy.
The first appointment is set for 2 December at the Foundation’s headquarters in Crati Square in Rome. A few days later, on 16 December, RUFA headquarters in via degli Ausoni 7, in the heart of the San Lorenzo district, will welcome the protagonists of this interesting training project.
Talks and workshops
The two days will alternate between theoretical parts, dedicated to the study of the artist, and practical ones, addressed to a personal exploration.
The initiative is part of an in-depth study of the artist’s work, already present in the group show “Un giorno in casa”, curated by Davide Ferri and Saverio Verini, presented in the Foundation’s exhibition spaces and recently concluded.
The central point of the entire activity is the attempt to highlight and stimulate in the students a “conceptual” approach to painting, focusing on the procedures and process mechanisms that generate an image.
The intention is to identify personal starting points in the “discovery” of a “subject”, a “theme” to work on, and then to focus on personal arguments of a strongly “obsessive” nature.
