The presentation of the book “Understanding Experience” written by Stefano Dominici and Laura Angelucci will take place on 20 October at 6.45 pm at RUFA Pastificio Cerere in Via degli Ausoni 7 in Rome.
Stefano Dominici is a human centered design strategist, RUFA lecturer, trainer, founder of UtLab and UXUniversity, training start-up in the field of UX, service and experience design. Laura Angelucci, illustrator born in 1991, lives and works in Rome and specialised in illustration at the Academy of Fine Arts in Macerata. Her comic book “Breve e modesta guida per trovare Il Tetto nel quadrante Est di Roma” is dedicated to the capital.
“Understanding Experience” is a book that aims to inspire people to use the human-centred approach to design products and services that are truly useful to people. To do this, it tells a project in all its phases, a story where the protagonists highlight the value of involvement and also the difficulties encountered in bringing it to fruition, as happens in the real world. A book to inspire, to get to know each other. Not a manual on how to do things, but a useful guide for those who want to understand the potential of this approach in order to introduce it into their own organisation. The choice of a comic book is not accidental. Its language calls for synthesis and evokes, through images, worlds that cannot be described in words. The story tells of a project, invented but not completely. The research part with the people (the interviews), the analysis of the results and parts of the project were actually conducted and developed. The book is divided into fourteen chapters and opens with a presentation of the team telling the story of the project, concluding with an illustration of the value of Human-Centred Design.
Stefano Cipolla, art director of Espresso, will introduce and moderate the meeting.
Access to the presentation will be limited and no more than 40 participants can be attending at the same time, according to the Covid-19 security regulation.
