ItaliaAdozioni, an association of social promotion, has launched the graphic design competition “Design the cover of the book Dear Adoption 2”, aimed at students of graphics, design, illustration, drawing, art and recent graduates or undergraduates in the same disciplines.
The deadline for participation is 30 November. By that date, those interested should send, exclusively by e-mail to concorso@italiaadozioni.it, a colour image created using their favourite technique, briefly explaining why they consider it appropriate to represent the theme of the book.
All the information, including the conditions of participation and the rules, are available on the dedicated page of the ItaliaAdozioni website.
Dear Adoption 2
The volume “Dear Adoption 2” is the follow-up to “Dear Adoption”, which came out in 2016 and is still in circulation. Edited, like the previous one, by Roberta Cellore, an active volunteer and founding member of the association, it is a collection of letters written by families who have adopted children.
It is a journey through the stories of encounters, the emotions and the difficulties, but also the great happiness that a new arrival brings. Dear Adoption 2″ is due to be published in 2022, to mark the 10th anniversary of the association’s foundation.
The works
The entries received will be examined by a jury made up of volunteers from the association who, in their profession or free time, have approached the world of publishing, graphics and communication.
The name of the winner will be announced by 31 December 2021. The winner will be mentioned on the third page of the cover and on the frontispiece, also with a short biography. The winner will also be invited to the book launch, interviewed for the association’s website and involved in further promotional activities.
The possibility of organising an exhibition (as well as an online gallery) with all the works received is also being considered, in order to enhance the contributions of all the participants.
