The deadline for submitting texts, set for 15 May 2020, has been extended to 30 May 2021.
The call for the 2020 edition of the “Lino Miccichè” award will end on May 30th. The award is dedicated to film critics. The National Union of Italian Film Critics – Emilia Romagna Marche Group and the International Exhibition of New Cinema, in order to bring young people closer to critical work in the field of cinema and research activities, propose a competition for critics and reviewers, named in honour of Lino Miccichè, founder of the exhibition with Bruno Torri.
Section B of the contest is dedicated to students from Universities, Film Schools, Academies of Fine Arts and involves the composition of a critical essay of up to 8 thousand characters, including spaces, a film released in cinemas after January 1st 2019 or a TV series aired after the same date.
In addition, participants must send a short curriculum vitae indicating: name, surname, email address and telephone number. The entries must be sent in word or pdf format to premiomicciche@gmail.com no later than May 30th 2020. Participation is free.
The jury of the prize, whose judgment is final, is composed as follows: Pedro Armocida, Luisa Ceretto, Andrea Miccichè, Francesco Miccichè, Franco Montini, Paola Olivieri and Bruno Torri.
The award ceremony will take place on the final evening of the 56th International Festival of New Cinema to be held in Pesaro on June 20th 2020.
The first prize winner will receive 250 € and a certificate; the second prize winner will receive 200 € and a certificate; the third prize winner will receive an annual subscription to the magazine Cinecritica and a certificate.
