Lodovica Losso participated to the formative stage in Manifattura in occasion of the Rometti Award 2019, winning the first prize in the competition. It’s an important award for RUFA Design student that presented to the compoany her project KHNUM, a rare vase that convinced for its design and originality. In addition to Losso’s project, a total of eight projects were created by students of the Product design course, held by lecturer Floriana Cannatelli: Claudia Guagnano, Giulia Mosca and Lara Di Benedetto with IN-FLAME; Margherita Caputi Lorusso, Marinella Caputi Lorusso, Angelika Mascarina and Alyssa Mendoza with SINUOUS; Giorgia Salurso with YOYO; Marigia Pastore and Sebastian Alvarez with UZUMBRA; Nicola D’armento and Alp Bostanci with DUNA; Lorenzo Gordini with VERTIGO; Viviana Mannino and Simone Soricelli with COR AUREUS.
Manifattura Rometti realizes artistics ceramics in Umbertide (Pg) since 1927 and from the beginning of its activity has cooperated with young artists like Corrado Cagli, Dante Baldelli and Mario Di Giacomo, all students from Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma. They had the opportunity to experiment, creating authentic masterpieces of applied art.
With the creation of the Award, Rometti wants to confirm the importance of the collaboration with young talents. Rometti wants to inspire original and innovative experimentations, following the themes linked to Art-design already started with the recent lines of products for furnishing.
