Selections are open to participate to the workshop “Nuoro 2019”, organized by the Quadrennial of Rome and produced in partnership with the Man (Museum of Art of the Province of Nuoro) and the Sardinia Film Commission Foundation, the Isre (Regional Higher Institute of Ethnography of Sardinia). The experience is part of the “Q-Rated” project, addressed to young Italian artists and curators. The project, entitled “Painting”, will be held in Nuoro in an immersive path in the Sardinian landscape.
Entirely offered (travel, board, lodging), the workshop will take place on the days of July 3 to 5: among the guests Silke Otto-Knapp, artist, professor of painting and drawing at UCLA in Los Angeles, and Bart Van Der Heide, exhibition-maker and art historian. Marcello Fois, writer, poet, playwright and essayist, will also be at the event.
The deadline for sending your application is 6 May, no later than midnight.
The call is open to Italian artists and curators aged between 23 and 35 years. The selection is made by a commission that includes the artistic director Sarah Cosulich and the curator Stefano Collicelli Cagol together with the two international tutors.
The selected artists and curators will receive confirmation of their participation by 28 May 2019.
