From September 22 to October 1 the new edition of “Aiap Design Per” will take place in Rome, during the Internaional Graphic design week. This is an important event, curated by the president Aiap Cinzia Ferrara, the vice-president Carla Palladino and our teacher Paolo Buonaiuto, which turns the spotlight on new trends in communication. Nine days of events, including workshops, exhibitions, round tables, conferences and award ceremonies, all summarized in a program that brings together the top experts in the field, with the mission to provide an opportunity for networking and in-depth analysis for professionals, stakeholders and simple fans of contemporary languages.
Scholars, designers and professionals, with their different contributions, will bring their experiences and present their insights and among them there will be the talents of the RUFA world. Some of our former students, in fact, have been selected to illustrate their visual communication projects within the “Aiap Community” format, designed to present to the public the most innovative ideas of the new generations of graphic designers. They are Gianluca Vicini (with Momely – Multimedia area), Daniele Bolzon (with Talking Walls – Multimedia area), Paola Centamore (with Scialacori – Branding and Corporate image area), Roberta De Cristofaro (with Sýn/Aìsthesis /- Research and experimentation area), Alessio Ferri (with Truth and Method of an Isolated Mind – Publishing area), Lorenza Liguori (with Cosebrutte – Research and experimentation area) and Chiara Tedone (with Radio Capital – Branding and Corporate image area).
The program of the various initiatives includes many moments of deepening and comparison with reference to the most current issues of the sector. Some RUFA teachers are involved in these meetings, including Mario Rullo, also a member of the Aiap Lazio Board of Directors, and Guido Lombardo.
The events, all with free admission except for the workshops, will be hosted by the Istituto Centrale per la Grafica, a museum of international importance based in the heart of Rome, overlooking the Trevi Fountain, and will have as their theme the visible cultures. Our teacher designers have played an important role in the organization of this international event: Paolo Buonaiuto, Guido Lombardo and Claudia Illuzzi are among those who have created the visual identity of the project. Buonaiuto was also responsible for the realization of the lettering of the entire event.
“Visible cultures – explain the curators – are physical and virtual spaces generated by the stratification of stories that, with the help of visual communication design, create identity, resources, services, and enhance institutions, companies, giving back centrality to the role of the designer, a figure able to generate development and contribute to the improvement of quality of life. For the seventh edition of “Aiap Design Per” we have chosen Rome with conviction. For history, culture, population and strategic role is perantonomasia the City, and therefore an ideal scenario to investigate visible cultures”.
